Mission Hills Roofing

Roof Installation & Roof Replacement Experts in Mission Hills, KS

Hiring a roofing contractor in Mission Hills and surrounding areas can seem overwhelming. After all, not every roofing company is reliable, much less licensed, bonded and insured. At US Quality Construction, we're proud to provide you with outstanding roofing solutions including roof installation and roof replacement.

Before you hire a roofing contractor near you, be sure to understand and ask questions!

Hiring Mission Hills Roofers

The first step in hiring a roofing company in your area is to see the quality of their work. Many local roofing contractors have a portfolio that shows off their roof installation and roof replacement projects. Large homes, small homes and complex roofing projects can all be found here. The more experience your roofer has with different projects, the better they can help serve your unique needs.

After browsing portfolios, contact 3-4 local roofing companies to ask for a consultation. Don't hesitate to ask about references, reviews and qualifications. The best roofing contractors won't hesitate to share this information with you. Eliminate any roofing company that is not:

Experienced - If they are a fly-by-night company that just started recently, they may not have enough experience to get the job done right

Licensed in the area - The best roofing companies have secured the necessary licenses and permits to be able to do business in the local area.

Insured - In case an accident occurs on your property, having insurance means you won't be liable for the damages and/or medical bills. An insured roofing contractor is as much for your protection as it is theirs!

Bonded - This means that in the case where you need to file a claim against the company, that they have money available for this purpose.

Willing to provide references - If a roofing company hesitates to provide you with references, there must be a reason!

More than Just A Local Roofing Company

Oftentimes a roofing contractor will do more than just roof installation or roof replacement. Ask about things like leaky roof repair, roof damage repair, roof waterproofing and roof insulating. In Mission Hills and surrounding areas, the weather can be rough, and having a roof that protects your home is about more than just providing shelter -- it's about protecting your investment in your home!

Why Hire a Mission Hills Roofing Replacement Company?

Instead of simply hiring an independent roofing contractor, we strongly recommend that you hire a professional roofing company. Roofing contractors are accustomed to handling larger jobs and have access to a wider range of quality roofing materials to ensure the job gets done right. In addition, their work is covered by manufacturer warranties which can give you added peace of mind. This allows them to complete the work at the best possible price without cutting corners.

Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Local Roofing Contractor

Above all, before you hire a roofing company in Mission Hills or surrounding areas, it's important to ask them the following questions when they come to evaluate the project and provide you with your free consultation:

  • What types of roofing do you install?
  • Do you have a current, up-to-date license to perform this kind of work in my area?
  • Do you work with homeowner's insurance to file claims?
  • What type of insurance do you have and what type of coverage?
  • Can you provide me with 2-3 references?
  • Do you offer free on-site inspection?

Which Roofing Installation Contractor Near Me Should I Choose?

You will likely get a variety of bids on your project from all types of roofing companies near you. There will be bids that are solidly in the middle-of-the-road, while there may be some that are lower, but as a result, the contractor is swamped with projects and may not get back to you in a timely manner. Experience can be your best friend here when deciding on which contractor to go with. The quote may be higher, but it will save you a headache in the long run of having to repair or replace the roof because of shoddy workmanship!

Especially be cautious about door-to-door roofing contractors that come by after a storm and offer to help replace or repair your roof as these individuals can be predatory and charge you a much higher fee for lower quality work. Always ask to check their license, insurance and references before you hire them.

Do You Already Know What Type of Roofing You Want?

If you already know what type of roofing material you want, this cuts down on your workload considerably by finding a suitable roofing contractor in Mission Hills to help get the job done. Not all roofing companies have experience with all types of roofs. For example, some may be more experienced with installing shingles or metal roofs while others may not have enough experience to install things like natural slate, cedar shakes or clay tiles.

You'll be glad to know that at US Quality Construction, we pride ourselves on having the experience and expertise to install a variety of roofing types to suit your needs and budget. We invite you to give us a call or fill out the quote form on our website and let us know more about your roof installation or roof replacement project.

About Mission Hills, KS

A small city with only 3,000 people, Mission Hills is still a place of great sights. Located in the Johnson County, Mission Hills is close to the Kansas-Missouri state line, even dedicating a road for it called ‘State Line Road’. The city first started out as part of the 1920s Country Club District plan by city developer J. C. Nichols, it soon became the beloved Mission Hills that we know today. A place where families can gather around for a fun game of golf, maybe missing a few holes here and there, but still coming home with wide beaming smiles and a token golf club hidden on the bag. To be used for the next winning stroke, of course.

It was supposedly a settlement for the elite, built around numerous country clubs and other top-dollar establishments. Mission Hills back then was the place for the rich, hills upon hills were used to built other serving businesses and clubhouses. It was the place where people of wealth get to relax after long hours of whatever people of wealth do. As snobbish as it might sound, J. C. Nichols didn’t have any ill intent in mind upon planning the future of Mission Hills. He only wanted to rise the realtor value of the Kansas properties so that more buyers would be open to get a pice and live upon the settlement. Though, having a nearby gold course does sound enticing. His plan worked, and as we know today the city is one of the best ones in the state of Kansas, not a lot of people are ready to deny that fact and people will continue to defend the beautiful city with great architecture and scenery.

By the time his reign was over, Nichols established not one, not two, but three Community Golf Clubs near Mission Hills. The small town became one of prestige, and soon the three gold clubs merged and became one, making Mission Hills the second most prestigious place to live in Kansas, second only to Kansas City itself. It’s the perfect place for golfing, the terrain set around is relatively simple enough for anyone to go through, but entertaining enough to keep people coming in. Truly, it’s the success that Nichols was looking for from the very beginning.

Earning the title of being a city in 1949, people could instantly recognize the architecture and beautiful landmark of the official city seal, the Verona Columns, located in Mission Hills. Eight towering columns twisting their way into the sky like the hands of the earth reaching for heaven’s embrace, feeling nothing but the soothing brushes of wind upon the dried white paint on its skin. It’s a beautiful landmark that people visiting Mission Hills shouldn’t miss. The iconic towers were created by S. Herbert Hare back in 1924, and they have stayed there ever since. Famous for his work in architecture, S. Herbert Hare’s contribution to the city will be remembered for years to come, especially with the beautiful piece that everyone could see plastered in the city.

It’s safe to say that the people of Mission Hills fully realize the implications of artistic value, they marvel over its mystery and resonate upon the pillars their history created. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that one of history’s most favorite writers, Ernest Hemingway, resided in Mission Hills, along with his wife in 1928. Hemingway wrote a lot of books, especially known for his classic ‘The Old Man and the Sea’ which won him the Nobel Prize in Literature back in 1954, making him a beloved pried of Mission Hills. During his stay in Mission Hills, he wrote A Farewell to Arms, a story that will leave your heart in shambles after tearing it open. The renowned author is known for his cleverly yet simply placed words, having deep meaning despite being unassuming. Ernest Hemingway resided in Mission Hills, 6435 Indian Lane. Up until now, his works are considered as one of the best and will be remembered not only by the people of Mission Hills but also by the rest of the world.
