It should be noted that the world-famous Dale Carnegie is buried in Belton. The biography of Dale Carnegie begins in 1888 in the state of Missouri. Working almost all the time on his parents ' farm, Carnegie secretly dreams of someday changing his life and becoming a teacher. To achieve his dream, he is ready for anything and works hard from dawn to dusk. The efforts of young Dale were not in vain: he manages to enter the State Pedagogical College. During his studies, Dale Carnegie began to attend an oratorical circle and soon began to give lectures on the system of relationships between people.

After receiving permission from the Young People's Christian Association, Carnegie begins teaching public speaking courses for local businessmen. And although the Association refused to pay him a rate of two dollars, Dale Carnegie agreed to conduct courses for a percentage of the total profit. This decision was very risky because at that time it was considered that the more important quality for a business person is the ability to count, and not eloquence. The ability to achieve success in communicating with people is a natural gift that either exists or is completely absent. This is exactly the statement that the vast majority of people adhered to. However, the works of the American writer, psychologist, and educator Dale Carnegie, fortunately, eliminated this misconception in the mass consciousness. Carnegie has repeatedly proved in practice that the skill of communication can be studied systematically and can be achieved by absolutely everyone.

This once again underlines the importance of education, and having good schools in Belton is the key to success.

Public schools of Belton are assessed as highly rated. The quality of the school education allows graduates to be enrolled at the most prominent universities of the region. In general, there are 17 public and two private schools of various levels in Belton.

By the end of his life, Dale lived in his home in New York, the relationship with his wife turned into a nominal one. Carnegie was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, which, together with kidney failure, caused the writer's death in 1955. He is buried in the Belton Cemetery of Missouri.
