About Edwardsville, KS
Edwardsville is in the state of Kansas, Wyandotte County. It’s in an unpunished Government with the city is Kansas and Bonner Springs (part of Lake Quivira).
Way back before the colonization of the Europeans, the Caddoan Wichita, people from Siouan Kaw, occupied the entire area of Kansas. In 1541, the first settlers reached Kansas to explore the area. The first place that they settled was Edwardsville. Thomas Kirkpatrick established a log cabin that had one room at above the Cahokia Creek ridge.Kirkpatrick came from North Carolina. He bought the 100 acres of the Edwardsville land. It stretched to Pierre Lejoy from Cahokia Creek. The cabin was estimated to be around 300 yards away from the main street at the North of O-street.
In 1859-1925, Junius George Groves, a farmer and business person, came to settle in Edwardsville. He was a black American and among the wealthiest during the early 19th and 20th centuries. In 1902, Edwardsville had grown to become an area knownas “World's Potato King.” Farming of potatoes was being done in the area using different growth methods which no other people were using worldwide.
In 1908, Juniushad become very successful in his finances until he, later on, came to conduct further analysis of the Negro Business by Booker T. Washington. He used the opportunity in helping to combat racism. He provided some other black American with economic opportunities.
The log cabin Junius built was the oldest in Edwards. John H. Edwards also came to the area and later on he became the senator. He bought the land near the cabin which was at the northwest side of Kirkpatrick's site.His other partner in business called W. C Edwards bought more land at the same area and he constructed a building made of bricks in Kinsley. In 1879,he named the building Edwardsville as long as the area also had the same name.
Edwardsville grew to become a city of different scopes of businesses. The city contains the Shawnee Indian Mission which is part of the Metropolitan Area of Kansas City. It was established in 1831 in Shawanee but later on became incorporated to becoming a mission in Kansas.

In 210, the National Recreational Trail had a designated secretary called Ken Salazar from the JCPRD Trail by Gary L.Haller.
A Historical Museum was also built near Kansas City from Edwardsville. It exhibits more than 75,000 artefacts of the history of Kansas. The museum is small and one can take an approximate tour of thrifty minutes to check out the different artefacts that are found in the place.
Edwardsville contains several art galleries that are huge. They are designed with the exhibitions of the history of Native Americans who settee in the county of Wyandotte where Edwardsville is found.
