J, who came from Callaway east, assembled his troops. He led this group towards the east where the Union troops were coming from to defend the county of Fulton, Callaway.
It was merely considered as being an illusion with the success of the defense. There were erected tree logs, which were put up by the troops. They looked like artillery, and campfires were put up in the shadows. The following deterred the Union troops. For several days, talks went on to secure the agreement that would cease the war between the Callaway county and the U.S. the defense was successful; hence, the citizens proclaimed their country as the Callaway Kingdom.
