Tuscumbia Roofing

Roof Installation & Roof Replacement Experts in Tuscumbia, MO

Hiring a roofing contractor in Tuscumbia and surrounding areas can seem overwhelming. After all, not every roofing company is reliable, much less licensed, bonded and insured. At US Quality Construction, we're proud to provide you with outstanding roofing solutions including roof installation and roof replacement.

Before you hire a roofing contractor near you, be sure to understand and ask questions!

Hiring Tuscumbia Roofers

The first step in hiring a roofing company in your area is to see the quality of their work. Many local roofing contractors have a portfolio that shows off their roof installation and roof replacement projects. Large homes, small homes and complex roofing projects can all be found here. The more experience your roofer has with different projects, the better they can help serve your unique needs.

After browsing portfolios, contact 3-4 local roofing companies to ask for a consultation. Don't hesitate to ask about references, reviews and qualifications. The best roofing contractors won't hesitate to share this information with you. Eliminate any roofing company that is not:

Experienced - If they are a fly-by-night company that just started recently, they may not have enough experience to get the job done right

Licensed in the area - The best roofing companies have secured the necessary licenses and permits to be able to do business in the local area.

Insured - In case an accident occurs on your property, having insurance means you won't be liable for the damages and/or medical bills. An insured roofing contractor is as much for your protection as it is theirs!

Bonded - This means that in the case where you need to file a claim against the company, that they have money available for this purpose.

Willing to provide references - If a roofing company hesitates to provide you with references, there must be a reason!

More than Just A Local Roofing Company

Oftentimes a roofing contractor will do more than just roof installation or roof replacement. Ask about things like leaky roof repair, roof damage repair, roof waterproofing and roof insulating. In Tuscumbia and surrounding areas, the weather can be rough, and having a roof that protects your home is about more than just providing shelter -- it's about protecting your investment in your home!

Why Hire a Tuscumbia Roofing Replacement Company?

Instead of simply hiring an independent roofing contractor, we strongly recommend that you hire a professional roofing company. Roofing contractors are accustomed to handling larger jobs and have access to a wider range of quality roofing materials to ensure the job gets done right. In addition, their work is covered by manufacturer warranties which can give you added peace of mind. This allows them to complete the work at the best possible price without cutting corners.

Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Local Roofing Contractor

Above all, before you hire a roofing company in Tuscumbia or surrounding areas, it's important to ask them the following questions when they come to evaluate the project and provide you with your free consultation:

  • What types of roofing do you install?
  • Do you have a current, up-to-date license to perform this kind of work in my area?
  • Do you work with homeowner's insurance to file claims?
  • What type of insurance do you have and what type of coverage?
  • Can you provide me with 2-3 references?
  • Do you offer free on-site inspection?

Which Roofing Installation Contractor Near Me Should I Choose?

You will likely get a variety of bids on your project from all types of roofing companies near you. There will be bids that are solidly in the middle-of-the-road, while there may be some that are lower, but as a result, the contractor is swamped with projects and may not get back to you in a timely manner. Experience can be your best friend here when deciding on which contractor to go with. The quote may be higher, but it will save you a headache in the long run of having to repair or replace the roof because of shoddy workmanship!

Especially be cautious about door-to-door roofing contractors that come by after a storm and offer to help replace or repair your roof as these individuals can be predatory and charge you a much higher fee for lower quality work. Always ask to check their license, insurance and references before you hire them.

Do You Already Know What Type of Roofing You Want?

If you already know what type of roofing material you want, this cuts down on your workload considerably by finding a suitable roofing contractor in Tuscumbia to help get the job done. Not all roofing companies have experience with all types of roofs. For example, some may be more experienced with installing shingles or metal roofs while others may not have enough experience to install things like natural slate, cedar shakes or clay tiles.

You'll be glad to know that at US Quality Construction, we pride ourselves on having the experience and expertise to install a variety of roofing types to suit your needs and budget. We invite you to give us a call or fill out the quote form on our website and let us know more about your roof installation or roof replacement project.

About Tuscumbia, MO

Tuscumbia is not just one of the villages in Miller County, it also serves as the county seat of Miller County in the state of Missouri, United States. The village of Tuscumbia was founded in 1837. While there has also been a post office known as Tuscumbia which also started operations in 1837, Tuscumbia most likely got its name from its namesake in Alabama (Tuscumbia, Alabama).

Data from the United States Census Bureau says the village sits on just a small area of 1.85 square miles (4.79 km2), which is completely a land area.

In the last official US census which was carried out in 2010 by the United States Census Bureau, findings revealed that the population of Tuscumbia stood just merely at 203. Also, just 55 households and 38 families are estimated to be living in the village of Tuscumbia, MO.

However, based on the projections of the latest United States Census estimates by World Population Review, the population of Tuscumbia in 2021 is said to have risen to just 207. It was also found that Tuscumbia is growing at an annual rate of 0.98% and has seen a 1.97%% increase since the last official United States census in 2010 which estimated its population to be 203. The population density of Tuscumbia in 2021 is said to be 601 people per square mile, a rise from its 2010 estimates which estimated 580 people per square mile.

While Tuscumbia may be just a small village in Missouri, its average household income is worth about $65,483 and the poverty rate is estimated to be 0.00%. In recent years, the median rental costs have come to nil per month while the median house value is estimated to be worth $85,000.

Based on the population of Tuscumbia it is said to be the 677th largest city in Missouri and also ranks the 16,587th largest city in the United States.

Tuscumbia has quite a fair racial composition. Data from the recent ACS by World Population Review estimated the racial composition of Tuscumbia to be largely dominated by Whites who account for an outstanding 77.98%. This is closely followed by Blacks or African Americans who have a significant presence and account for 17.86%. The rest of the population is made up of Asians who account for 4.17%.

This figure seems to have seen some significant changes from the last official census of the United States whose data shows that Tuscumbia has a racial composition of majority Whites with 93.6%. Making up the rest of the population are African Americans with 3.9%, Native Americans 2.0%, Hispanics or Latinos of any race at 5.9%, and people of other races at 0.5%.

Being just a small village, Tuscumbia does not have certain amenities and facilities such as schools.

When it comes to education, Tuscumbia is served by surrounding cities. Notwithstanding the absence of educational institutions, in Tuscumbia villagers, are significantly educated, at least to the high school level. 39.81% of residents in Tuscumbia have a high school education, 3.70% have Bachelor's degree, 15.74% have some form of a college degree, 3.70% have a graduate degree, and 0.93% have an associate degree. Not bad for a small village, I must say.

One of the landmarks in Tuscumbia is the Miller County Museum, which spreads across 6,000 square feet and features a large library-oriented toward genealogical research.

When you're in Tuscumbia you would be glad to take time out and visit some nice places like Tuscumbia Access, second chance furniture/décor boutique (an antique shop), Miller County historical society museum, and Panther creek campground and horse trails. You would also be thrilled to go to nearby places like the Margaritaville at Lake of the Ozarks pet friendly, Ozark village resort, and Funny Farm Petting Zoo.

While Tuscumbia may not have restaurants of its own, you won't want to miss out visiting the numerous nearby great restaurants that surround it such as Camp Bagnell Fish and Steakhouse, for American, seafood, and steakhouse; Arris Pizza, for pizza and Greek meals; your favorite Starbucks and KFC; and Touch of Asia, for Chinese, Sushi, and Asian.

For a small village like Tuscumbia, I think they are doing pretty well.
