Boonville Roofing

Roof Installation & Roof Replacement Experts in Boonville, MO

Hiring a roofing contractor in Boonville and surrounding areas can seem overwhelming. After all, not every roofing company is reliable, much less licensed, bonded and insured. At US Quality Construction, we're proud to provide you with outstanding roofing solutions including roof installation and roof replacement.

Before you hire a roofing contractor near you, be sure to understand and ask questions!

Hiring Boonville Roofers

The first step in hiring a roofing company in your area is to see the quality of their work. Many local roofing contractors have a portfolio that shows off their roof installation and roof replacement projects. Large homes, small homes and complex roofing projects can all be found here. The more experience your roofer has with different projects, the better they can help serve your unique needs.

After browsing portfolios, contact 3-4 local roofing companies to ask for a consultation. Don't hesitate to ask about references, reviews and qualifications. The best roofing contractors won't hesitate to share this information with you. Eliminate any roofing company that is not:

Experienced - If they are a fly-by-night company that just started recently, they may not have enough experience to get the job done right

Licensed in the area - The best roofing companies have secured the necessary licenses and permits to be able to do business in the local area.

Insured - In case an accident occurs on your property, having insurance means you won't be liable for the damages and/or medical bills. An insured roofing contractor is as much for your protection as it is theirs!

Bonded - This means that in the case where you need to file a claim against the company, that they have money available for this purpose.

Willing to provide references - If a roofing company hesitates to provide you with references, there must be a reason!

More than Just A Local Roofing Company

Oftentimes a roofing contractor will do more than just roof installation or roof replacement. Ask about things like leaky roof repair, roof damage repair, roof waterproofing and roof insulating. In Boonville and surrounding areas, the weather can be rough, and having a roof that protects your home is about more than just providing shelter -- it's about protecting your investment in your home!

Why Hire a Boonville Roofing Replacement Company?

Instead of simply hiring an independent roofing contractor, we strongly recommend that you hire a professional roofing company. Roofing contractors are accustomed to handling larger jobs and have access to a wider range of quality roofing materials to ensure the job gets done right. In addition, their work is covered by manufacturer warranties which can give you added peace of mind. This allows them to complete the work at the best possible price without cutting corners.

Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Local Roofing Contractor

Above all, before you hire a roofing company in Boonville or surrounding areas, it's important to ask them the following questions when they come to evaluate the project and provide you with your free consultation:

  • What types of roofing do you install?
  • Do you have a current, up-to-date license to perform this kind of work in my area?
  • Do you work with homeowner's insurance to file claims?
  • What type of insurance do you have and what type of coverage?
  • Can you provide me with 2-3 references?
  • Do you offer free on-site inspection?

Which Roofing Installation Contractor Near Me Should I Choose?

You will likely get a variety of bids on your project from all types of roofing companies near you. There will be bids that are solidly in the middle-of-the-road, while there may be some that are lower, but as a result, the contractor is swamped with projects and may not get back to you in a timely manner. Experience can be your best friend here when deciding on which contractor to go with. The quote may be higher, but it will save you a headache in the long run of having to repair or replace the roof because of shoddy workmanship!

Especially be cautious about door-to-door roofing contractors that come by after a storm and offer to help replace or repair your roof as these individuals can be predatory and charge you a much higher fee for lower quality work. Always ask to check their license, insurance and references before you hire them.

Do You Already Know What Type of Roofing You Want?

If you already know what type of roofing material you want, this cuts down on your workload considerably by finding a suitable roofing contractor in Boonville to help get the job done. Not all roofing companies have experience with all types of roofs. For example, some may be more experienced with installing shingles or metal roofs while others may not have enough experience to install things like natural slate, cedar shakes or clay tiles.

You'll be glad to know that at US Quality Construction, we pride ourselves on having the experience and expertise to install a variety of roofing types to suit your needs and budget. We invite you to give us a call or fill out the quote form on our website and let us know more about your roof installation or roof replacement project.

About Boonville, MO

Much like most of American history, Boonville’s past is rich and filled with stories of patriotism and loyalty to one’s nationality. It all began when Daniel Boone’s sons, whom Boonville, MO was named after, came to be upon a river. In the 1800s, Daniel and Nathan Morgan began their salt business in a nearby community, hence it gave birth to the area then-name, ‘Boone’s Lick’. People began settling down in Boonville in the early 1810s, more than a millennia ago. Its first settlers were the lovely Hannah and Stephen Cole, who moved to a fort north of the Missouri River, which led to the ‘Hannah Cole Fort’ being Howard County’s first county seat in Boonville, MO by 1818.

The history of Boonville is a long one, and it can be complicated at times. A war broke out in the settlement, with the opposition of forces Confederate and Union during the 1861’s Battle of Boonville during the American Civil War. Consequently, this led to the control of the Missouri River by the Union before Boonville would ultimately be captured in 1864 in the Price’s Raid led none other by Sterling Price. Plenty was adamant over seizing control of Boonville due to its convenient route to the Missouri Pacific Railroad. Nowadays, part of the railroad was turned into a parkland called ‘Katy Trail State Park’ which is now supposedly the longest railway system in the United States of America.

People are enticed to visit Boonville to have a glimpse of the magnificent Katy Trail, which is enjoyed by sports enthusiasts and athletic cyclers. The city gained ownership over the Missouri-Kansas-Texas-Bridge after controversy over reinstating sections of the said bridge to Jefferson City as not many were amused at the idea. The people of Boonville, MO were opposed to this idea, too. Stating that the route would become useless, along with property owners losing some important legal rights.

Despite the long and gruesome history over Boonville the members of this community remain overly optimistic. The community would annually dedicate an entire summer weekend focusing on the rich heritage of Boonville, MO. Booths would be set up for everyone to enjoy, parades would start, and carnivals are conducted to brighten up spirits during Boonville ‘Boonville Heritage Days’. This isn’t all, however, as the citizens would also do other annual festivities such as ‘Festival of the Leaves’, and ‘Festivals of the Lights’, both of which people would have shops open for a fortnight, along with having fun events and games for people to do. Usually, plays and movies would be running at local theaters like the historical Thespian Hall, making all the events and commotions lively and entertaining for both residents and visitors at Boonville, MO.

As mentioned above, Boonville isn’t shy to commemorate its long history. Historians have the privilege to visit special event markers, with over 400 properties preserved in the city. One of the oldest landmarks to be seen in Boonville is the Hain House Memorial Garden built around the early 1800s, a noteworthy time capsule of the early architecture of the time. Among the oldest military academy was the Kemper’s Family School, though it is now mostly being used during local events and festivities in Boonville, MO, with kids being able to reserve the fields for numerous sports. One of the oldest and longest used jails can also be seen in Boonville, MO. The Old Cooper County Jail and Hanging Barn is open for tours, a true historical landmark for people to see. It is also the place where the last public hanging was conducted in the state of Missouri.

For your information, Boonville is considered as one of the first battle sites during the times of the American Civil War. Throughout the entire movement, Boonville underwent a total of four battles. In fact, this is also where you could find Missouri’s headquarters for the Missouri State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The building was built in 1895, special events are conducted here throughout the year, and tourists are even able to roam around whilst visiting the site. Truly, it’s a huge hallmark over the country’s history.
