About St. Louis, MO
The city of St. Louis is the second-largest in Missouri and a near confluence between the rivers of Mississippi and Missouri, on the latter's western bank.
The city of St. Louis was brought into being on February 14, 1764, by some French fur traders namely Pierre Laclède, Auguste Chouteau, and Gilbert Antoine de St. Maxent, who initially gave it the name Louis IX of France.
