New Bloomfield Roofing

Roof Installation & Roof Replacement Experts in New Bloomfield, MO

Hiring a roofing contractor in New Bloomfield and surrounding areas can seem overwhelming. After all, not every roofing company is reliable, much less licensed, bonded and insured. At US Quality Construction, we're proud to provide you with outstanding roofing solutions including roof installation and roof replacement.

Before you hire a roofing contractor near you, be sure to understand and ask questions!

Hiring New Bloomfield Roofers

The first step in hiring a roofing company in your area is to see the quality of their work. Many local roofing contractors have a portfolio that shows off their roof installation and roof replacement projects. Large homes, small homes and complex roofing projects can all be found here. The more experience your roofer has with different projects, the better they can help serve your unique needs.

After browsing portfolios, contact 3-4 local roofing companies to ask for a consultation. Don't hesitate to ask about references, reviews and qualifications. The best roofing contractors won't hesitate to share this information with you. Eliminate any roofing company that is not:

Experienced - If they are a fly-by-night company that just started recently, they may not have enough experience to get the job done right

Licensed in the area - The best roofing companies have secured the necessary licenses and permits to be able to do business in the local area.

Insured - In case an accident occurs on your property, having insurance means you won't be liable for the damages and/or medical bills. An insured roofing contractor is as much for your protection as it is theirs!

Bonded - This means that in the case where you need to file a claim against the company, that they have money available for this purpose.

Willing to provide references - If a roofing company hesitates to provide you with references, there must be a reason!

More than Just A Local Roofing Company

Oftentimes a roofing contractor will do more than just roof installation or roof replacement. Ask about things like leaky roof repair, roof damage repair, roof waterproofing and roof insulating. In New Bloomfield and surrounding areas, the weather can be rough, and having a roof that protects your home is about more than just providing shelter -- it's about protecting your investment in your home!

Why Hire a New Bloomfield Roofing Replacement Company?

Instead of simply hiring an independent roofing contractor, we strongly recommend that you hire a professional roofing company. Roofing contractors are accustomed to handling larger jobs and have access to a wider range of quality roofing materials to ensure the job gets done right. In addition, their work is covered by manufacturer warranties which can give you added peace of mind. This allows them to complete the work at the best possible price without cutting corners.

Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Local Roofing Contractor

Above all, before you hire a roofing company in New Bloomfield or surrounding areas, it's important to ask them the following questions when they come to evaluate the project and provide you with your free consultation:

  • What types of roofing do you install?
  • Do you have a current, up-to-date license to perform this kind of work in my area?
  • Do you work with homeowner's insurance to file claims?
  • What type of insurance do you have and what type of coverage?
  • Can you provide me with 2-3 references?
  • Do you offer free on-site inspection?

Which Roofing Installation Contractor Near Me Should I Choose?

You will likely get a variety of bids on your project from all types of roofing companies near you. There will be bids that are solidly in the middle-of-the-road, while there may be some that are lower, but as a result, the contractor is swamped with projects and may not get back to you in a timely manner. Experience can be your best friend here when deciding on which contractor to go with. The quote may be higher, but it will save you a headache in the long run of having to repair or replace the roof because of shoddy workmanship!

Especially be cautious about door-to-door roofing contractors that come by after a storm and offer to help replace or repair your roof as these individuals can be predatory and charge you a much higher fee for lower quality work. Always ask to check their license, insurance and references before you hire them.

Do You Already Know What Type of Roofing You Want?

If you already know what type of roofing material you want, this cuts down on your workload considerably by finding a suitable roofing contractor in New Bloomfield to help get the job done. Not all roofing companies have experience with all types of roofs. For example, some may be more experienced with installing shingles or metal roofs while others may not have enough experience to install things like natural slate, cedar shakes or clay tiles.

You'll be glad to know that at US Quality Construction, we pride ourselves on having the experience and expertise to install a variety of roofing types to suit your needs and budget. We invite you to give us a call or fill out the quote form on our website and let us know more about your roof installation or roof replacement project.

About New Bloomfield, MO

The city of New Bloomfield, MO, is one of the small cities of Callaway County in the state of Missouri and a member city of the Jefferson City Metropolitan Statistical Area. New Bloomfield, MO, is bordered by a couple of cities. It is located southwest of Fulton and north of Jefferson City with just 10 miles away from each city and lies west of U.S. Highway 54.

Going down the memory lane to the historical narrations, it is said the Enoch Murray founded the village of New Bloomfield, MO, on his land in 1836 which then had only a population of roughly 100. In 1829, a man named John Fry who was a newly appointed postmaster moved his post office which was located in Round Prairie and just 2 miles west southwest of New Bloomfield, MO, to his piece of land on the newly created State Road.

By 1841, there had been a determination raised that it was essential to change the postal label of the village. Unfortunately, Murray's plat designation as Bloomfield could not be adopted as there was a Bloomfield postal village already in Stoddard County, in the state of Missouri.

Finally, on June 16, 1841, it was decided that Round Prairie Post Office will officially be known as New Bloomfield Post Office. This new identity is most likely the name suggested by Postmaster James D. McGary, who happened to be the first Postmaster of the newly designated postal community.

The incorporation of New Bloomfield, MO, was, however, delayed while it starts and continues to thrive as a community. In 1872, the Chicago & Alton Railroad was completed and this positively helped New Bloomfield, MO, experience some significant growth and increase in population.

In the last decade of the 19th century, New Bloomfield, MO, suddenly saw itself becoming the hub for the roads in the southern half of the county. This is as a result of its strategic position in the southern half of the county and that of the State Road.

This positioned New Bloomfield, MO, to become the center of commerce in that part of the county. By 1884, New Bloomfield, MO, saw an insurgence of numerous businesses such as a real estate office, two restaurants, a hotel, a bank, a sale barn, a blacksmith shop, and hardware, feed, and grocery stores.

By the late 1950s, there were concerns about further developments of New Bloomfield, MO, and as a result, a group of people was raised with the intention of incorporating the city. Doing so will avail New Bloomfield, MO, of government grants, which were desperately needed to further improve services to the citizens of the city.

Then came Feb. 21, 1959, the city of New Bloomfield, MO, got incorporated under the guidance of Mayor Edith McClellan.

The affairs of New Bloomfield, MO, are governed by a Mayor and four Aldermen elected by the people of the City. Each member of the Governing Board can only serve two-year terms. The Board of Alderman is tasked with the adoption of all ordinances and resolutions and the determination of the general goals and policies of the City.

In the last official census carried out by the United States Census Bureau in 2010, the population of New Bloomfield, MO, was estimated to be merely 669. Not surprising. The city only occupies a total area of 1.56 square miles with only 0.03 square miles of it being water. Its population density was 437.3 inhabitants per square mile

The population is expected to drop further and is projected to be 661 by 2021. New Bloomfield, MO, population means it's the 414th largest city in Missouri and the 12,109th largest city in the United States.

The racial composition of New Bloomfield, MO, is well represented. The majority of the residents are Whites who account for 94.2%. This equation is made up of African Americans at 1.0%, Native Americans at 0.9%, Asians at 0.6%, and Hispanics or Latinos at 1.2%.
