Cass County Roofing

Roof Installation & Roof Replacement Experts in Cass County, MO

Hiring a roofing contractor in Cass County and surrounding areas can seem overwhelming. After all, not every roofing company is reliable, much less licensed, bonded and insured. At US Quality Construction, we're proud to provide you with outstanding roofing solutions including roof installation and roof replacement.

Before you hire a roofing contractor near you, be sure to understand and ask questions!

Hiring Cass County Roofers

The first step in hiring a roofing company in your area is to see the quality of their work. Many local roofing contractors have a portfolio that shows off their roof installation and roof replacement projects. Large homes, small homes and complex roofing projects can all be found here. The more experience your roofer has with different projects, the better they can help serve your unique needs.

After browsing portfolios, contact 3-4 local roofing companies to ask for a consultation. Don't hesitate to ask about references, reviews and qualifications. The best roofing contractors won't hesitate to share this information with you. Eliminate any roofing company that is not:

Experienced - If they are a fly-by-night company that just started recently, they may not have enough experience to get the job done right

Licensed in the area - The best roofing companies have secured the necessary licenses and permits to be able to do business in the local area.

Insured - In case an accident occurs on your property, having insurance means you won't be liable for the damages and/or medical bills. An insured roofing contractor is as much for your protection as it is theirs!

Bonded - This means that in the case where you need to file a claim against the company, that they have money available for this purpose.

Willing to provide references - If a roofing company hesitates to provide you with references, there must be a reason!

More than Just A Local Roofing Company

Oftentimes a roofing contractor will do more than just roof installation or roof replacement. Ask about things like leaky roof repair, roof damage repair, roof waterproofing and roof insulating. In Cass County and surrounding areas, the weather can be rough, and having a roof that protects your home is about more than just providing shelter -- it's about protecting your investment in your home!

Why Hire a Cass County Roofing Replacement Company?

Instead of simply hiring an independent roofing contractor, we strongly recommend that you hire a professional roofing company. Roofing contractors are accustomed to handling larger jobs and have access to a wider range of quality roofing materials to ensure the job gets done right. In addition, their work is covered by manufacturer warranties which can give you added peace of mind. This allows them to complete the work at the best possible price without cutting corners.

Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Local Roofing Contractor

Above all, before you hire a roofing company in Cass County or surrounding areas, it's important to ask them the following questions when they come to evaluate the project and provide you with your free consultation:

  • What types of roofing do you install?
  • Do you have a current, up-to-date license to perform this kind of work in my area?
  • Do you work with homeowner's insurance to file claims?
  • What type of insurance do you have and what type of coverage?
  • Can you provide me with 2-3 references?
  • Do you offer free on-site inspection?

Which Roofing Installation Contractor Near Me Should I Choose?

You will likely get a variety of bids on your project from all types of roofing companies near you. There will be bids that are solidly in the middle-of-the-road, while there may be some that are lower, but as a result, the contractor is swamped with projects and may not get back to you in a timely manner. Experience can be your best friend here when deciding on which contractor to go with. The quote may be higher, but it will save you a headache in the long run of having to repair or replace the roof because of shoddy workmanship!

Especially be cautious about door-to-door roofing contractors that come by after a storm and offer to help replace or repair your roof as these individuals can be predatory and charge you a much higher fee for lower quality work. Always ask to check their license, insurance and references before you hire them.

Do You Already Know What Type of Roofing You Want?

If you already know what type of roofing material you want, this cuts down on your workload considerably by finding a suitable roofing contractor in Cass County to help get the job done. Not all roofing companies have experience with all types of roofs. For example, some may be more experienced with installing shingles or metal roofs while others may not have enough experience to install things like natural slate, cedar shakes or clay tiles.

You'll be glad to know that at US Quality Construction, we pride ourselves on having the experience and expertise to install a variety of roofing types to suit your needs and budget. We invite you to give us a call or fill out the quote form on our website and let us know more about your roof installation or roof replacement project.

About Cass County, MO

Embedded between the layers of concrete and loud cars rushing through the highway between Missouri and Kansas, Cass County is a small yet proud city with a relished community of almost 10,000 people. Despite it’s unassuming appearance, the history of Cass County is quite a long one. It all started way before history even began writing it’s first word, where the then-named Harrisonville was filled with inhabitants by the Osage, Omaha, Quapaw, Ponca, and Kansa tribe, speakers of the Dhegihan Siouan Language along the rivers and valleys of the Mississippi in 700BC. Upon going south, they discovered Cass County.

Though dated settlements, rather, recorded stays in Cass County only started in the early 1800s. This was when James Lackey settled along an early campsite created by European-American settlers around the southwest, along with around 500 Native Americans. It wasn’t until 1849 did the city change it’s name to Cass County by Senator Lewis Cassy, who would later on run as Preident-elect for the United States of America. Allegedly, the city was an area of peace and tranquility despite the rough environment encompassing everything else in the south.

Cass County is also the place to reminisce on the what-if past. Plenty of teens and kids often run about wondering of the railroad lines seen by the Missouri Pacific. The construction is quite a site in Cass County, MO, with a mysterious history that not many want to pass up. The conundrum came from the infamous Gunn City Massacre in 1857. With corporations fighting over bonds of St. Louis and Santa Fe Raillroad led to the shooting of three men, who are argued to have had extreme influence over the fact, were shot in 1872 upon boarding the Katy Railroad. Though it's hard to tell what kind of ghost stories Cass County residents tell once the lights are turned off, the history of the railroad is quite so spooky that it leaves little to no imagination.

Another little story running around Cass County is the list of ghost towns located around the area, namely Brosley, founded by resident G.R. Christopher in 1869. The story goes that an unknown man was able to stop an almost-store shooting by two young boys, simply by telling them to put their guns down. What an interesting tale from Cass County.

Needless to say, telling ghost stories around the community isn’t the only thing that Cass County residents do. The residents love documenting their history, with a list of local authors and books being produced and sold by their local library. Residents could easily have their copies signed during Cass County fairs and learn more about the town first hand by questioning the authors about the history of the American Civil War. Some of these authors even take part in Cass County’s own historical society. And quite a number of teens and adults join this too, the thirst of learning more never truly subsiding.

The people of Cass County are overly fond of their pets as well, having numerous fundraisers over pet paintings and the likes. It’s not like everyone in the events need to be an artist, as the people are lively and kind enough to help others in the process of creating the picture perfect portraits of their beloved pets. There aren’t that many who would go against that idea.

The Cass County Historical Society loves to keep in touch with the members of the community too, having set up social media sites in order to connect easier to the people around the city. There, they regularly update and converse about the happenings of the small tight-knit town, whether the topic is about something in the past or the present. It’s interesting to see a number of people speculating over old pieces of paper and building blueprints. Not to mention the relics would most definitely be preserved for the future to come. The love behind knowing ones past transcends in this lovely community, and it’s such a huge staple that it’s hard to simply go over it. The fascinating events that happened before don’t help either, getting sucked in between reads is just natural.
