Raymore Roofing

Roof Installation & Roof Replacement Experts in Raymore, MO

Hiring a roofing contractor in Raymore and surrounding areas can seem overwhelming. After all, not every roofing company is reliable, much less licensed, bonded and insured. At US Quality Construction, we're proud to provide you with outstanding roofing solutions including roof installation and roof replacement.

Before you hire a roofing contractor near you, be sure to understand and ask questions!

Hiring Raymore Roofers

The first step in hiring a roofing company in your area is to see the quality of their work. Many local roofing contractors have a portfolio that shows off their roof installation and roof replacement projects. Large homes, small homes and complex roofing projects can all be found here. The more experience your roofer has with different projects, the better they can help serve your unique needs.

After browsing portfolios, contact 3-4 local roofing companies to ask for a consultation. Don't hesitate to ask about references, reviews and qualifications. The best roofing contractors won't hesitate to share this information with you. Eliminate any roofing company that is not:

Experienced - If they are a fly-by-night company that just started recently, they may not have enough experience to get the job done right

Licensed in the area - The best roofing companies have secured the necessary licenses and permits to be able to do business in the local area.

Insured - In case an accident occurs on your property, having insurance means you won't be liable for the damages and/or medical bills. An insured roofing contractor is as much for your protection as it is theirs!

Bonded - This means that in the case where you need to file a claim against the company, that they have money available for this purpose.

Willing to provide references - If a roofing company hesitates to provide you with references, there must be a reason!

More than Just A Local Roofing Company

Oftentimes a roofing contractor will do more than just roof installation or roof replacement. Ask about things like leaky roof repair, roof damage repair, roof waterproofing and roof insulating. In Raymore and surrounding areas, the weather can be rough, and having a roof that protects your home is about more than just providing shelter -- it's about protecting your investment in your home!

Why Hire a Raymore Roofing Replacement Company?

Instead of simply hiring an independent roofing contractor, we strongly recommend that you hire a professional roofing company. Roofing contractors are accustomed to handling larger jobs and have access to a wider range of quality roofing materials to ensure the job gets done right. In addition, their work is covered by manufacturer warranties which can give you added peace of mind. This allows them to complete the work at the best possible price without cutting corners.

Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Local Roofing Contractor

Above all, before you hire a roofing company in Raymore or surrounding areas, it's important to ask them the following questions when they come to evaluate the project and provide you with your free consultation:

  • What types of roofing do you install?
  • Do you have a current, up-to-date license to perform this kind of work in my area?
  • Do you work with homeowner's insurance to file claims?
  • What type of insurance do you have and what type of coverage?
  • Can you provide me with 2-3 references?
  • Do you offer free on-site inspection?

Which Roofing Installation Contractor Near Me Should I Choose?

You will likely get a variety of bids on your project from all types of roofing companies near you. There will be bids that are solidly in the middle-of-the-road, while there may be some that are lower, but as a result, the contractor is swamped with projects and may not get back to you in a timely manner. Experience can be your best friend here when deciding on which contractor to go with. The quote may be higher, but it will save you a headache in the long run of having to repair or replace the roof because of shoddy workmanship!

Especially be cautious about door-to-door roofing contractors that come by after a storm and offer to help replace or repair your roof as these individuals can be predatory and charge you a much higher fee for lower quality work. Always ask to check their license, insurance and references before you hire them.

Do You Already Know What Type of Roofing You Want?

If you already know what type of roofing material you want, this cuts down on your workload considerably by finding a suitable roofing contractor in Raymore to help get the job done. Not all roofing companies have experience with all types of roofs. For example, some may be more experienced with installing shingles or metal roofs while others may not have enough experience to install things like natural slate, cedar shakes or clay tiles.

You'll be glad to know that at US Quality Construction, we pride ourselves on having the experience and expertise to install a variety of roofing types to suit your needs and budget. We invite you to give us a call or fill out the quote form on our website and let us know more about your roof installation or roof replacement project.

About Raymore, MO

Raymore is a fast-growing community located in northwestern Cass county. Despite being a late bloomer, the town has experienced notable developments, with its population almost doubling decade by decade. The area had only 207 residents as of 1940, but by 2020, its population had grown to 22,194. That made Raymore the 38th most populous town in the whole of Missouri.

Before the civil war, Raymore had only three inhabitants. People avoided the last because it lacked greens, rivers, and notable creeks. That discouraged many from settling in the area for a long time. During the war, Quantrell's Raiders and Kansas Jayhawkers camped at Raymore. As a result, several people resided around in the area until Order No. 11.

General Thomas Ewing's order required all non-unionists to leave four of the counties in Missouri. Cass County was among the areas included in the order and caused many settlers who were non-unionists to vacate Raymore. Their camps, crops, and ranches also got destroyed during the segregation.

However, after the civil war, the once deserted land had more settlers (those that left by the decree returned too). The town started to develop again like the other communities in Cass County, and notable events took place. In 1871, the first physician in Raymore, Dr. L.F Gray, emerged. As the town grew, the residents cultivated the land and established ranches all over the area. In 1872, the physician founded a post office and named it Raymore.

Dr. Gray also became the first postmaster as the office operated in his home. Later, He acquired land north of 58 highway and built his two-story home. By 1874, Raymore, MO had its land plan drawn, and the town began to develop in a defined structure. Three years later (1877), the young town was incorporated and recognized as a city.

The first church building reached completion in 1876 when the first school got established. Before then, church meetings took place inside the train depot. The school also ran outside the teacher's house before its official first school building in 1887.

The town's name, Raymore, was derived from its founding fathers' surnames. Henry Moore and George Rea were notably involved in the development of the area. They oversaw the building of Clinton, Kansas City, and the Springfield railroad that ran through Raymore around 1885. Travelers traveling to and fro from Kansas and Springfield stopped by Raymore to use the accommodations in town.

In November 1997, Raymore residents adopted the home rule charter. The system involved appointing a mayor, council members, and a city manager to direct the affairs of the place. The city council has eight members(two each from four wards), with the mayor supervising their meetings. The members of the council and mayor serve the city for two and three years, respectively.

The serving mayor was responsible for electing a city manager on the advice of council members. While the council members draft Raymore's policy, the city manager and their delegates in each ward enforce it. Those department heads saw that the laws were upheld in the city's municipal operations and reported to the city manager as required under the Missouri States Law.

Altogether, Raymore has seven notable parks and recreation centers that tourists and residents enjoy visiting. They include; Hawk ridge park, Good parkway linear, ward park place, Eagle glen linear park, Eagle park, T.B Hanna station, memorial park, and recreation pack. All the parks and recreation centers have amenities, including sporting areas that make tourists visit annually.

Raymore also currently has ten schools in the Raymore Peculiar School district. The educational institutions consist of six elementary schools, two intermediate, one middle school, and high school campuses. All schools are currently rated above average by parents of enrolled students.

Raymore's economy is also fairing well with a couple of notable employers surrounding the city. The top five highest employers in the town as of 2018 were Foxwood springs, Wal-Mart, Ray-Pec school districts, Cosentino's price chopper, and Sam's club.

The city owns its water and sewer system but relies on Kansas City Power and Light for electricity. Raymore, MO also gets most of its natural gas from Missouri Gas Energy today.
