How do you know that the companies are reputable and reliable?
Fortunately, as a leading window installation company serving Sedalia, Lee's Summit and surrounding areas, we know what homeowners are looking for when it comes to having replacement windows installed. Hiring the right window replacement contractor is just as important as the actual replacement windows themselves! We install the following types of windows:
Here's how to make sure your replacement windows installation goes as smoothly as possible:
Every home is different and for that reason, no two window replacement projects are alike. It's a good idea to research different window installation options since many window installers are familiar with only a few types of windows. For example, if you want to install energy-efficient windows, your windows contractor may recommend a PVC or fiberglass window. But even among those options you have different levels of window efficiency in terms of letting in air and sunlight.
Understanding not just the type of window you want, but the type of materials you choose for it will have a lasting impact on the quality of your window installation, and is just as important as hiring your replacement window installer! Beyond the windows themselves, it's important that when receiving quotes from your windows contractors, that you be ready to ask them important questions, many of which we've detailed for you below.
Window replacement bids should be more than just a price. The best window replacement quotes should include the types of materials and products being used as well as whether or not materials and labor are included in the price. The right bid also includes a start and end date. In short, the more specific the bid, the better.
You should also ask that the bid include payment terms. Never agree to pay the full amount up front, no matter how good of a deal it looks like. Generally speaking, most windows contractors will ask for 20-30% up front and the rest paid along the way or immediately once the job is done to your satisfaction.
One of the most important things to consider during your window installation is what happens if something goes wrong years down the road. Be sure that you're covered according to the manufacturer's warranty.
A standard warranty is around 10 years and a good contractor will also include a workmanship warranty of at least two years to protect against any issues that may arise from installation of your replacement windows. The main reason why most windows break after installation is due to faulty installation, so be sure to have this part of the warranty specified in writing before you choose a window replacement company.
In addition to checking the references of your windows contractor, also check the references of the windows manufacturer. You want to choose not only a reliable windows installer, but quality, well-made windows. Ask to see photos from other projects that are similar to yours and make sure to ask how long the company has been in business. You want to know how the company resolves issues as well as whether or not they stand behind their work. You want a company that works with windows consistently.

Last but certainly not least, before starting a project you'll want to be sure that your windows contractor meets the proper requirements for your local area. That includes whether or not your jurisdiction requires a permit and if the contractor is properly licensed or registered for the type of work you need performed.
Ask to make sure that the windows installation company has the proper documentation and is licensed, bonded and insured. This not only protects you in case there is an accident, but it also protects the company and is vital to ensuring that you're not hit with a big claim from your homeowner's insurance in the event of an injury on the job!
Working with a properly licensed and insured windows installation company protects all parties involved and gives you greater peace of mind that the job is being handled by true professionals.

Lee’s Summit is the sixth-largest city in the United States of America according to a population census conducted in 2020. The city’s name Lee’s Summit, was in honor of Doctor John Pleasent Lea, a famous physician in the town. Doctor Lea was killed amid the civil war that was in 1865, near the Missouri Pacific Depot. In anger, in Lee's Summit, MO, residents painted the doctor’s name on the car that served as their depot. However, the name was originally misspelled and has never been corrected. The name on the depot car was spelled as "Lee" instead of "Lea".
The summit part of the name came from; doctor Lea's farm located at the highest point in the town (1050ft above sea level) between St. Louis and Omaha. Lee’s Summit, grew from Longview farming estate built by a Lumber company in the early 19th Century. The farm estate had 42 buildings, a mansion, a church; Longview Chapel Christian Church, and five barns. All these were on a 6.9 sq. kilometers piece of land on the western stretch of Lee’s Summit.
The farm estate became famous as a Showplace farm because of the horses there, a name that is maintained till today in Lee’s Summit. The city later developed from communities that grew around Longview farm estates, into several villages having most of the people getting employed in Lee’s Summit, R-7 schools.
The City also boasts of Baker University –Lee’s Summit, the University of Central Missouri- Summit Campus, Longview community college, and Unity Institute, all located in the City.
The city, Lee’s Summit, later received a charter form of government, with every four districts in it represented by two city councils, and an overall Mayor governed the city. The most famous mayors were William Baird, Lee’s Summit, 42nd Mayor; he took over the seat when he was 15 years old, in 2018. Mayor Karren Messerli; Lee’s Summit, was the first female mayor; she served the city for 16years from 1994 to 2010. Mayor Randy Rhoad; during his tenure, Lee’s Summit, became the first city stand for its property values.
Lee’s Summit, is one of the top Americas best cities with a current population of over 65,000. This, in addition to low crime rates, and low housing costs, makes Lee’s Summit, one of your best bet places to live in. This is seconded by Mayor Randy Rhoads who said “Lee’s Summit, is a pleasant family-oriented community, that families feel safe in.”
The city widely focuses on its historic resources including rural farms, cultural landscape, and historic archeological sites. These resources in the city raised the need for a History preservation plan among the fast-growing residents who felt the need for a specific focus on water conservation, land usage, waste reduction, and energy efficiency; without tampering with the historical Uniqueness of their land. A factor that later led to the integration of a conservancy plan into the city’s general planning and resource allocation.
This move helped maintain Lee’s Summit, unique physical and cultural character that draws the difference between the city, and other growing towns in Missouri. Today Lee’s Summit, boasts of accomplishments in Complete Streets Policy and Livable Streets Resolution. The Complete Street Policy entails the accommodation of cyclists, pedestrians, motorists, and disabled citizens in the City’s future transportation projects. While the livable Streets Resolution has an advisory board championed by Mayor Randy Rhoad to create complete streets with safe access for all citizens. This policy further encourages the public to bike, walk and use public transportation means.
With the historical conservatory plan already in place, your next summer stop should be in Lee’s Summit, where you are guaranteed an enjoyable historical visit, biking, swimming, boating, camping, and hiking within the Jacomo, Blue Springs, and Longview lakes in Lee’s Summit.
These places assure you of amazing moments for any history enthusiasts.
